Amy E Chadwick, ND, FACEMIP
Fellow of the American College of Endobiogenic Medicine and Integrative Physiology
Founder and Owner: Soaring Crane Clinic
Adjunct Clinical Faculty: Bastyr University California
Amy grew up in Boise, Idaho at the foot of the mountains and the edge of the desert. She knew early on that she was called to be a physician.
Obtaining her Pre-Med training and Bachelor’s degree in Biology, with a minor in English from the University Alaska Fairbanks, Amy spent several years living in and exploring Alaska; observing nature, rhythms, ecology and human physiology. Amy found inspiration and awe in the intricacy and synchronicity present in all spheres of life.
While initially Amy had planned to become a surgeon, she was called to Naturopathic medicine where she thrives and delights in the daily connection to nature, cultivation of her natural intuition, and the study of science and expression of the creative art of medicine.
Graduating with high honors from the National College of Naturopathic Medicine in Portland, Oregon, Amy interned in women’s medicine, pediatrics and the treatment and management of chronic disease utilizing biotherapeutic drainage. She had the privilege of studying under some of the greatest physicians in the profession.
In 2006, Amy founded Soaring Crane Clinic where she has practiced family medicine and worked with patients on preventive health and the treatment and management of chronic disease. She revels in creating a safe space for her patients to tell their story. It is an honor to witness the healing journey. Amy is an avid reader and a scientist at heart; constantly learning, researching and delving into the “why” behind each of her patients’ imbalances.
Led to continue her education and bring even more finesse and skill to her practice and this question of “why”, Amy completed a two year post-doc fellowship in Endobiogenic Medicine and Integrative Physiology in San Diego. This was a natural evolution to the systems perspective Amy brings to her practice and worldview.
With Dr Chadwick’s in-depth education, extensive training, and intuition, she is able to assess and treat each individual patient with his/her unique layers and patterns of being; offering treatments that are simple, subtle and powerful. Amy strives to be an effective teacher, a wisdom-bearer, a holder of sacred space where her patients can be fully present, share their story, learn and heal.
Amy also delights in community, movement, nourishing food, beach and water playing, desert exploring, her giant dog Buck, playful creative expression, photography, healing sound, meditation and spiritual practice.
Amy has an active yoga and meditation practice; a commitment to cultivate her own wellness and pursue her path with the highest integrity, mindfulness and sensitivity available. She strives to promote health in her self, her clinic, her community and her world.
Amy sits in gratitude and wonder for the immense fortune of living in beautiful spaces, having the privilege of her patients trust and care, and for her many teachers and mentors and loved ones who undeniably and wholeheartedly support and encourage her to be well, whole and in full alignment.
Soaring Crane Clinic was born in Alaska but just as cranes want to do, has migrated south. The crane is a symbol of peace, of longevity, of relationship, of joy.
Dr Chadwick is thrilled to be in San Diego. She and her staff welcome you to this space and strive to provide a place for healing, relaxation and peace.
